Dental Implants

Dental implants are biocompatible, man-made substitutes to replace missing teeth.

The implants are made of space-age alloy of titanium. These implant posts are placed into the jaw bone where teeth are missing and are allowed to heal undisturbed while the bone heals around them, locking them in like an anchor. They act as tooth root substitutes and serve as the foundation for replacement teeth.

Dental implants restore lost chewing ability, improve the appearance, and give real self-confidence to patients who need them. They are a real breakthrough!

Today, dental implants are the profession’s preferred method of replacing missing teeth.

At 32 Gems Dental Care we have the technology to perform the entire implant procedure in our relaxed Dental Practice right in the middle of Lower Hutt CBD.  With our 3D scanning machine (CBCT) we can instantly diagnose any hidden issues, establishing a crystal-clear view of your implant treatment. The CBCT/3D scan helps the dentist to assess the quantity of the jaw bone where the implant needs to be placed. Matching this bone scan with a 3D scan of your teeth helps the dentist to accurately position your dental implant.

Dental Implants look and feel like your natural teeth and are often used to fill just a single gap, but they also can be used as a replacement for more than one tooth, or can be used as a space-filler in between two teeth. This technique is instead of having a treatment such as a two or three-unit bridge, which means your dentist does not have to touch the tooth or teeth next to the gap. They can also replace a partial plate or be used as a securing source for dentures.
